Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Invokary collects, why, who handles it for us, how long we keep it and what your rights are. It covers this website, and the inquiries, bookings and client work that start here.

Who we are

This site and the Invokary studio are run by Mohd Ashhar, based in India. We decide how the personal information described here is used, which makes us its controller under UK and EU data protection law.

Our contact details are at the end of this page.

What we collect and why

  • When you fill in a form (booking, contact, an invoice request, an emailed estimate or a tracker correction): your email address and what the form asks for, such as your company's website, your message, your calculator answers, or a correction and its source. We use it to reply, to send what you asked for and to follow up about it.
  • If you came from a campaign link or another website: the campaign tags, the referring site's name and the first page you visited. They are sent with a form only if you submit one, so we know how you found us.
  • When you book a call: Cal.com collects your name, email address and chosen time, and tells us about the booking so we can prepare for the call.
  • When you email or message us: your message and contact details. Messages sent on WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
  • When you become a client: your company's billing contact and details, for contracts and invoices.
  • When you visit: the pages you view and the buttons you click, counted in aggregate without cookies (see analytics below). Our host also processes your IP address to deliver pages and to block abuse, and our forms ask Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm that a person is submitting them. Turnstile works in the background without asking you to do anything; Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum (https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/) explains how Cloudflare handles that information.

Under UK and EU law, we rely on our legitimate interests in answering business inquiries and following up on them, keeping the site secure, and understanding how it is used. When you ask for an estimate, a call or an invoice, or become a client, we use your information to take the steps you asked for and to perform our contract. We keep invoicing records because the law requires it.

We don't sell your information, use it for advertising or make automated decisions about you.

Who processes it

These companies handle personal information for us, only to provide their service:

  • Cloudflare (United States): hosts this site, runs its forms and spam protection, and forwards email sent to our addresses.
  • Plausible Analytics (European Union): cookieless website analytics.
  • Attio (United Kingdom): our customer records, where inquiries, bookings and notes are kept.
  • Resend (United States): sends this site's emails, such as confirmations and estimates.
  • Cal.com (United States): books fit calls.
  • Google (United States): our email inbox.
  • Skydo (India) and Wise (United Kingdom): invoices and payments.

We work from India, and these companies are based in the countries shown, so your information may be handled outside the country where you live. Where UK or EU law requires safeguards for these transfers, we rely on those in our processors' data processing terms, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries, bookings, estimate requests and corrections for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless you become a client. We keep client records while we work together, and invoicing and accounting records for as long as tax law requires.

The site itself stores nothing from the forms: each submission goes straight to the services above. Analytics keep no personal information.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or give it to you in a portable format. You can object at any time to our follow-up emails and to analytics. Write to us at the address below, and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.

Analytics and how to object

We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and builds no profile of you. To tell visitors apart within a day, our server passes your IP address and your browser's user agent to Plausible, which turns them into an identifier that changes every 24 hours and stores neither. We see only totals: pages viewed, where visits come from and which buttons were clicked.

We rely on our legitimate interest in improving the site. To object, turn off the switch below, and this browser sends no analytics.

What this site stores in your browser

This site sets no cookies. It keeps these items in your browser's own storage, and never sends them anywhere unless noted:

announcement-dismissed
Local storage. Remembers that you closed the announcement at the top of the page.
plausible_ignore
Local storage. Set only if you turn analytics off with the switch on this page.
first_touch
Session storage, deleted when you close the tab. Only if you arrived from a campaign link or another website: the campaign tags, the referring site's name and the first page you visited. It is sent to us with a form only if you submit one, so we know how you found us. Turning analytics off on this page deletes it, and it is never sent after that.
